As all women with children do, I will start by saying I am a mom. I have two beautiful daughters, Marilynn (12) and Claire (3), and a son, Asher (1). I am a wife to a wonderfully supportive husband, who encourages me to pursue this passion and cheers me on along the way. I also teach Pure Barre at Dana Park several times a week. I enjoy each time I get to teach a room full of strong women. The camaraderie of women when we work together is nothing less than magical.
We moved to Mesa, Arizona three years ago from Colorado Springs, CO. As a family we enjoy rockhounding and prospecting in the winter and summertime brings in boating season. We really enjoy spending time outdoors connecting with nature!
I began my journey into birth services 12 years ago when I was pregnant with my first daughter. I read, studied, and inquired about all things birth. I couldn't get enough! I ended up having an amazing homebirth which changed the way I believed in birth.
I began attending classes, workshops, trainings, and webinars to learn everything I could. Every day I learn more about the beauty of pregnancy and birth. Women turn into goddesses as they bring new life into this world. I am so honored to witness it and always greatful for the opportunity. I firmly believe it is every woman's right to have a sacred birth experience and I know it is possible to manifest your perfect birth, even if it doesn't go exactly as expected.

Education and Experience
I began my career in the fitness industry back in 2006. Starting as a personal trainer, I soon realized I enjoyed group exercise much more. Group exercise led me to yoga. I fell in love with it and the mind body connection I created in each class. I attended a 200 hour yoga teacher training in early 2012 at Cambio Yoga in Colorado Springs, CO. I instantly knew I wanted to expand and work with pregnant mamas and babies. I continued my training that same year specializing in prenatal yoga after attending an 85 hour training at Yo Mama Yoga in Boulder, CO. Following up with Mommy and Me yoga teacher training shortly after. I learned so much about the birth process and how to effectively lead women through safe exercises and yoga flows.
The calling to birth work has been in my heart for many years. In 2016 I finally got the courage to go after it. I completed The Holy Work of a Doula course in May 2016, focusing on the spiritual and physical aspects of pregnancy and birth. Learning to use meditation, affirmations, and relaxation to connect with baby and as a comfort measure during Labor. I followed up with another certifying doula program, Birth Trust, focusing on comfort techniques including positioning, counter pressure, voice, and my personal favorite, water. This training also provided me with the skills and education to be a nurturing postpartum doula. I recently began the Still Birthday Bereavement Doula training, to assist women in their healing from loss.
One of my favorite childbirth education classes is Hypnobabies. I used them for my most recent birth and it was incredible. I loved it so much I became a certified hypno-doula. Whether you are using Hypnobabies or Hypnobirthing, I can assist using the proper language and respect for the program.
In addition to doula trainings, I have also spent numerous hours studying and learning about breastfeeding, placenta crafting, belly binding, cloth diapers, and baby wearing. My doula services are an eclectic mix of this knowledge.
I also volunteer as President of The Arizona Breastfeeding Bag Project, which provides bags of breastfeeding supplies and support to new moms across the Phoenix area.
Our goal is to connect moms and give breastfeeding support where it may be lacking.
“Birthing is the most profound initiation to spirituality a woman can have.”
